BA Presents a New Offer to End Cabin Crew Dispute

British Airways has addressed the Unite union to end the cabin crew dispute. This dispute has cost the airline over £150 million.

The offer of the British Airways includes two changes in order to address the cabin crew. This address was related to the future earning of the cabin crew. This also includes the top- up payment, which assures that the present cabin crew won’t have to incur losses on route allowances.

On the other hand, the offer of increasing the staff on some of the flights has been withdrawn by the BA. The airline will also raise the basic salary from February 2011 along with the annual increment in the pay.

This proposal of the BA assures that the minimum amount of variable pay to the crew will be unaffected by the routes.

BA has invited the crew members to accept this offer individually and also it has requested Unite members to spread the message to the union.

"We have changed our offer in line with feedback we have received from crew and we genuinely believe that it can end this dispute”, said BA Cabin Crew Head, Bill Francis. He also said that most of the crew members and customers wish to end this disagreement.
